Sometimes, we forget very easy because of our bias for recent events. Things around Christiano have not been positive lately, but yes, I do think he’s a robot.

The man played his thirst big tournament back in 2004!! Many who will be watching WC2022 were not even born yet.
And I think he’s ready to shine again.
This will probably be his last time on the biggest stage of the world. And if there is one thing we know about him, it’s that he always finds a way to be at the top of his game when it’s needed.
Of course, as a 37-year old, times have changed. He’s no longer the Christiano he was while in Madrid. But that is normal. Even for him and Messi there is a time when things come to and end. I just can’t help but think that he’s going to show what he’s made of one more time.
I don’t expect him to be very active on many parts of the pitch. Maybe he won’t even be a starter. But, he is going to wait for one or two opportunities around the box and make his move.
He is still a force when he goes up in the air. Portugal has a few players who can deliver great crosses in the box. He has the connection with Bruno Fernandes, who can drop the ball anywhere he wants.
I’m not the type to make predictions, and when I do they are usually wrong.
But I expect Christiano to do well again this WC. One thing I’ll never do is underestimate him, or think he’s done. He has the type of personality that loves to prove people wrong. The more we think it’s done for him, the better he’ll probably do.
Or maybe that’s just what I hope to see. We’ll find out very soon!
